Bulawayo MDC-T Acting Spokesperson Felix Mafa Sibanda has said Information Media and Broadcasting Services Minister Christopher Mushohwe  showed self contradiction when he made remarks about the English language during the launch of other local language news bulletins at Montrose Studios in Bulawayo over the week end.

"The minister of information, Mushohwe is crazy and self contradicting by alluding that "English language" destroyed Zimbabwean culture but the irony in his 2 hour address was in Queen of England 's language, English," Sibanda said.

"Whom does he want to cheat rubbish yet all his PHD theses and assignment were in the discredited English language. It is a shame to mention that most of children are more conversant in English than his Chiwungwe or Chimanyika language. What a con tradition set to confuse other people's children. .As a minister of government and charge of information ,he must be more responsible in his public utterances to avoid cultural or ethnic or tribal upheavals."

He said Zimbabwe is a multi cultural society where the government minister of his calibre mustn't encourage xenophobic tendencies as across Limpopo.

"Who doesn't know the evil of ethnic cleaning in Rwanda, Burundi and Nazi Germany under dictator Adolf Hitler during the second world war, where the Jews were exterminated just because of their ethnicity. Shame to the government minister who can read and deduce ripple and dangerous utterances of that magnitude in the  public broadcaster, ZBC," Sibanda said.

"We as the people's party are calling Him to retract that toxic policy statement before more hazardous ripple effects are effected by his overzealous Zanu pf  youths and other functionaries. It is imperative as a government minister to support and protect the constitution of Zimbabwe which is none partisan, tribal ,ethnic, regional but embracing all and sundry."
