First Mutual Health Medical rolls out Biometric identification method

The First Mutual Medical Aid has rolled out a biometric medical health enrolment facility which will see members m=being identified through the system biometrical.

The institution revealed this to members through a communique.

"It is our great pleasure to advise you that we recently upgraded our Health Management I.T system to improve our service delivery. The new system utilises the Biometric identification method and now requires you, our member be enrolled and identified via your fingerprints on our Biometric System. This which will ensure secure and hassle free access to medical services," reads the letter to members.

"The first phase has been rolled out to cover pharmacies as per the attached Service Provider List. The current medical aid cards will still be required to be presented at service providers not yet on the biometric system."

"We encourage you to avail yourself for the biometric enrolment which is will be conducted as a once off procedure for the duration of your membership. This can be activated at any of our offices nationwide or at any biometric enabled Healthcare Service Provider as per attached list. Enrolment will commence on 2 May 2017," it added.
