Namibian President tours Zimbabwe National Heroes Acre

The visiting Namibian President Hage Geingob has paid tribute to President Robert Mugabe and Namibia's founding father, Mr Sam Nujoma for honouring contributions made by heroes towards the attainment of independence in their respective countries.
President Geingob made the remarks after touring the National Heroes Acre in Harare today where he laid a wreath on the tomb of the unknown soldier.
He was accompanied to the national shrine by Foreign Affairs Minister, Simbarashe Mumbengegwi, Namibia's Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Ms Balbina Daes Piennar and Namibia's Deputy Prime Minister, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwa.
Resident Curator at the national shrine, Mrs Rumbidzai Bvira then took the Namibian president through artistic works which depict the country's liberation struggle.
President Geingob then toured the graves of the late veteran nationalists; Cde Herbert Chitepo, Dr Joshua Nkomo, the first heroine to be buried at the National Heroes Acre Sally Mugabe and the first white man to be declared a national hero Guy Clutton Brock.
