Political activist, Sally Dura has dragged the MDC-T to the High Court seeking the enforcement of a US$100 000 arbitration award issued in her favour in October last year.
Dura together with 15 other MDC-T employees jointly won an arbitration award for US$600 000 before Mrs Nyaradzo Shumba for unfair dismissal and the MDC-T was ordered to reinstate the claimants with their full salaries in October last year.
Following the award, the MDC-T is said to have appealed and subsequently lost the appeal at the Labour Court.
The applicants then applied for the quantification of the award.
Dura in her individual capacity is owed up to 27 months salary arrears, damages for 36 months and other benefits.
She seeks a High Court order registering the arbitral ward so that it is enforceable and seeks the MDC-T to pay her US$108 000 she is owed plus the payment of costs of her application on a higher scale of attorney and client only if the MDC-T opposes her application.
14 other employees who won arbitral awards are yet to apply for the registration of their wards.
