ZANU PF youths gave vendors at Tobacco Sales Floor in Harare a torrid time, demanding $1 per table, which they said was meant for fuel to Heroes Acre.
The youth were demanding $1 following the death of national hero Zenzo Ntuliki who died last Friday due to long illness.
Vendors bemoaned the actions of ZANU PF youths who threatened to chase them away if they fail to pay.
"These youths are extorting us since they say if you do not pay you will be chucked from this area," said a vendor.
Another vendor who declined to be named for fear of victimisation doubted if the money was going towards fuel as alleged.
"These youths are into drugs I doubt if the money we are paying is going towards the burial of the fallen hero," he said.
Meanwhile, Ntuliki was a war veteran and former director in the President's Department in charge of Western Region.
