Pastor Chris service excites Zimbabwe

A wave of excitement and anticipation for miracles galore has gripped Zimbabwe ahead of leader of Believers Loveworld Incorporated, which is popularly known as Christ Embassy, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome's maiden "Worship, Communion and Miracle Service" at the National Sports Stadium on Sunday.
The much-hyped and landmark event to be punctuated with miracles galore and spiritual bonanza would be Pastor Chris's first visit to Zimbabwe.
Pastor Chris who is one of Africa's most influential church personalities is also a teacher, healing minister and television host leading one of the fast-growing Bible-based international Christian ministries headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria.
Zonal leader of Christ Embassy, Pastor Ruth Musarurwa could not hide her joy as she confirmed during a midweek prayer service that their leader, Pastor Chris will be coming to Zimbabwe on Sunday (7 May).
Pastor Musarurwa said she could not explain how she felt when she received the phone call confirming that indeed the popular television host and leader of Believers Loveworld Incorporated and Christ Embassy was on his way to Harare.
"I was only telling the pastors about this but the news ended up all over the globe. The pastor is coming on May 7.
"I cannot explain how I felt when I received the call in my office confirming that the pastor will be with us. I screamed. It will be a global miracle, communion service. So many healings are going to take place. People are going to believe that Jesus Christ is alive," Pastor Musarurwa was quoted as having said by our sister paper Sunday Mail.
Pastor Musarurwa said for a long time she had been labouring and praying for the fulfillment of the coming of the popular Nigerian pastor. So ecstatic is the atmosphere that some local church leaders have cancelled their Sunday services so that they attend the event.
In a statement, Christ Embassy confirmed that ZAOGA Forward in Faith leaders Archbishop Ezekiel Guti and United Family International Church leader Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa cancelled their Sunday services to grace the occasion.
About 150 buses and 200 commuter omnibuses have been hired to ferry people from all the country's 10 provinces to attend the event.
Members of the Christ Embassy have been conducting a massive registration campaign and more than 73 000 people were by Wednesday this week have already registered to attend the event.
In Zimbabwe, the church has quietly witnessed phenomenal growth under the anointed leadership of zonal pastor Musarurwa and spiritual guidance of its regional leader, Ose Oyakhilome who also leads a strong following in South Africa.
