Prison warder bashed for spilling beer

A Prison Officer was recently seriously assaulted at a bottle store in Ntabazinduna for spilling beer on one of the revellers.
This was heard by the Bulawayo magistrate Tinashe Tashaya when the matter of Minister Bulala (21) was brought to court.
The court heard that Bongani Mbebe (26) is based at Ntabazinduna Prison Depot and is employed by the minister of Justice, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs as a Prison Officer at Ntabazinduna Prison Camp.
On April 2 this year at 3pm, Mbebe was drinking beer at Dube Bottle Store in Ntabazinduna.
In the process of shaking his beer before opening the container, the container burst and spilled on to one of the Xhosa boys who were present.
Bulala got angry and pounced on him beating him once on the right cheek with a stick and clapped him three times with his hands on the head.
The prison officer sustained some injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment Bulala was later arrested.
