Vice President Joice Mujuru says Zanu-PF has confidence in South Africa's role as a mediator in Zimbabwe as it has assisted in bringing an agreement between the country's three political parties since its appointment by SADC.
Mujuru was speaking on arrival at the Harare International Airport from South Africa where she had attended the African National Congress (ANC) centenary celebrations over the weekend.
She noted that South Africa should be credited for playing a critical role in the country's dialogue process which culminated in the signing of the Global Political Agreement and eventually the formation of the inclusive government.
Turning to the recently held ANC centenary celebrations, Mujuru said the Zanu PF delegation was well received at the celebrations and commended the ANC for valuing strategic leadership which promotes youth participation in political governance.
Vice President Mujuru led a high powered delegation to South Africa over the weekend, comprising Zanu PF National Chairman, Simon Khaya Moyo; Secretary for Security, Sydney Sekeramayi and Secretary for Administration, Didymus Mutasa.
The celebrations were attended by several heads of state and government and elderly statesman of Africa.
