Sliding gate kills man

A man from Bulawayo's New Lobengula suburb died when a sliding gate fell on his head but his family suspects foul play.
Floriyana Mirijoni who was originally from Mozambique allegedly died last week on Sunday after a sliding gate fell on his head.
"We don't believe the sliding gate fell on his head. That was a big gate that could have crushed his head but when we checked his head there was no bruise or any stain of blood at all. There was no blood and that leaves us with more questions than answers," said the deceased's wife Fino Mirijoni.
The late's cousin Silas Moyo said God would deal with the person who killed Floriyana.
"We are a family that firmly believes in God and we know that the Almighty will deal with the person who killed my cousin," he said.
Bulawayo deputy police spokesperson Assistant Abednico Ncube confirmed the incident.
"We received a case of a sudden death of a man. He is said to have died after a sliding gate fell on his head.
Investigations are underway to ascertain the cause of his death," he said.
