Mashakada elected Chair of Committee on Trade and Customs and Immigration Matters

MDC-T deputy Secretary general Tapiwa Mashakada has been elected Chair of the Committee on Trade and Customs and Immigration Matters.
Mashakada announced the developments through his Facebook wall.
"Zimbabwe lands top Pan African Parliament post 12th May 2017, Midrand South Africa. Elections to fill the vacant position of Chairperson of the
Committee on Trade Customs and Immigration Matters. Hon Dr Tapiwa Mashakada has been unanimously elected Chair," he said.
He is deputized by Hon Alex Chersia Grant from Liberia and the Rappoteur is Hon Veronica Kadogo Babirye from Uganda.
"The Committee is one of the most the important Committees of PAP that looks at issues like Integration, Safe Migration, Boosting Intra-African
Trade, One Stop Border Posts, Trade Protocols and Agreements and promotion of the African Passport. The Committee is comprised of 18 Members from Angola, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Benin, Liberia, Gabon, Uganda, Ghana, Mauritania, Algeria and Guinea Bissau," he said.
