Lt Col Mpabanga dies

The Commander Zimbabwe National Army, Lieutenant General Philip Valerio Sibanda regrets to announce the untimely death of a Senior Army Officer, Lieutenant Colonel Samson Mpabanga.
He was 60.
A veteran of the liberation struggle, Lieutenant Colonel Mpabanga passed on last night after a long illness at West End Hospital in Harare. Lt Col Mpabanga was at some point under US sanctions on allegations of being directly involved in the terror campaign waged in Mwenezi East before and during the elections.
Mourners are gathered at House Number 153, Mahatshula South in Bulawayo.
Funeral arrangements will be announced in due course.
