TWO Norton men have been arrested for allegedly beating up another man to death following a misunderstanding over opaque beer.

Liberty Paul Muchemwa, 30, and Tinotenda Masvosva, 24, were not asked to plead when they appeared before Norton magistrate Milton Serima charged with murder.

They were remanded in custody to May 26 and advised to apply for bail at the High Court.

Allegations are that the three men were at the Survival Bar in Katanga drinking beer.

The deceased bought an opaque beer and shook the beer and mistakenly splashed it on top of the accused.

Muchemwa and Masvosva got annoyed with him, it is alleged.

It is said that the two men punched the deceased who bled through the nose and mouth until he died.

Leonellah Chitanda appeared for the State.
