MRP wil contest only council and parliamentary seats in Mthwakazi territory

Mthwakazi Republic Party spokesperson Mbonisi Gumbo has said the party will only contest the council and parliamentary elections in 2018.
"MRP will contest the 2018 elections only at Council and Parliamentary level within Mthwakazi territory. The reason being that we now want to gain political power so that we are to protect and defend Mthwakazi from a position of authority," Gumbo said.
"What we expect MRP members above the age 18 to do is to register to vote, as well as participate as Candidates. Every one who subscribe to this I regardless of where you are you are kindly asked to send the gospel of Mthwakazi everywhere."
He said those who can, are also asked to help with printing of T-shirts, fliers, posters, vehicles, fuel, airtime, etc. Whatever that can help them reach out you are welcome.
"We realised that ever since 1980 Mthwakazi has not known peace and yet the formation of MDC has made sure they bring loads of Shonas in Mthwakazi and now they have even brought in Shona councillors and MPs if we don't do anything it could be worse," he said.
