Following the fire that engulfed the house of Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) Guruve district spokesman yesterday, the police have blamed Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company (ZETDC) for electrical faulty.
Officer Commanding Guruve District Faith Thlomani blasted load shedding by ZETDC and high voltage that sparked flames in the house resulting in the fire.
"The fire was due to a high voltage of electricity the unscheduled load shedding is giving us problems.
"The cop (Noah Makwindi) was not even around when the incident happened so surely the issue of negligence is out," she said.
ZETDC spokesperson Mvurwi could not be reached for comment by the time of this writing.
