A woman from Bulawayo, Sinqinekile Fundira Nee (Nyoni), has sued Judith Mukonyora and Primary and Secondary Education Minister Lazaras Dokora and director of the Salary Service Bureau over a debt owed by Mukonyora amounting to $6000.
She filed an application at the Bulawayo High Court on May 24 demanding an order for the payment.
In her founding affidavit, she submitted that on March 16, 2012, she obtained a judgement against Mukonyora in the sum of $6000 together with interest from 5 January 2012 to date of full payment and costs.
"Upon inquiry to the Sheriff of the High Court sometime, I was advised that for execution to be effected against the judgement debtor, we would be required to pay the sum of $591 upfront. I am unable to raise the amount and have been forced to opt to enforce the order by way of a garnish order as the judgement debtor if gainfully employed. The judgement debt remains unsatisfied and I make and application for the attachment of the salary of the judgment debtor which she is owed by the state as its employee to recover the same," she submitted.
The respondents in the matter are yet to file opposition papers.
