Harare west residents in water crisis

MDC-T's Harare West MP Jessie Fungayi Majome has expressed concerns over the water problems which is affecting her constituency due to a shutdown to conduct major repairs at Warren Pump Station.
Majome said it was day 2 of their bathing from buckets and the village life of hewing water.
"I just 'shot' in my neighborhood in Ward 16. Upon enquiring from the City area manager I am told that the dry taps are due to a shutdown to conduct major repairs at Warren Pump Station. She says ceteris paribus we will have water back today. Apparently all northern suburbs are dry," she said.
"I just wish the city had warned us AND provided bowsers AND maintained the 4 communal boreholes I installed with the one and only Constituency Development Fund disbursement of 2010. And handed over to council."
She said the boreholes are at Sherwood Drive/22nd Ave, Ashdown Park Shops, Marlborough Civic Centre and Chichera plot.
"Meanwhile thank you generous Harare Westerners with boreholes for letting us use them. And let us beware water accidents -children drowning in buckets, slipping etc," she said.
