Senior citizen run over by car hit from behind - Hit and Run accident

A 74-year-old Guruve man died on the spot in a hit and run traffic accident at the 59 kilometre peg along Mvurwi–Kanyemba highway yesterday.
Eye witnesses allege Kasawu Chikondano was knocked down by an unidentified motorist on his way from Guruve business Centre near Dande Bridge.
"The deceased was hit from the back by an unidentified motorist and he died on the spot near Dande Bridge.
"His body has since been taken to Guruve mortuary for safe keeping," said the source.
Guruve traffic police attended the scene, fatal accidents are prevalent in Guruve district and police have warned motorists to take it easy on the road to save human life.
