'Zimbabwe political eaders must swallow their pride for the sake of country'

A political commentator Vince Musewe has challenged the political leaders in the country to swallow their pride for the sake of the country and admit failure where it suits.

"Leaders sometimes have to swallow their pride for the sake of the country. As long as we keep our assumed differences and we shout at each other we will continue to imagine the worst of each other," he said.

"My basic tenet is that all Zimbabweans will benefit from talking to each other. All Zimbabweans will benefit from peace justice and equity."

He said it is in this spirit that people may need to talk to our so-called enemies in Zanu PF. After all, we really want our country and our people to prosper.

"Zimbabwe can truly be great again but it will need a different approach attitude and mindset. The past has been painful thank God it's the past. The future can indeed be different but it requires us to begin to imagine anew and for now accept the mistakes made by all but they need not limit what we can become," he said.

"We have to open a new chapter of possibilities and that requires a different and new mindset. It requires the audacity of hope from all of us. The only thing exciting about the future is that we can shape it!"
