One killed as commuter omnibus overturns

One person was killed and six others seriously injured a commuter omnibus that they were travelling in overturned at the 70.5 kilometre peg along the Harare - Mount Darwin road yesterday.
ZRP traffic spokesperson, Inspector Tigere Chigome said the accident occurred near Simona farm.
He said preliminary investigations show that driver of the commuter fell asleep resulting in him losing control of the vehicle.
Inspector Chigome said the deceased is at Bindura hospital until the next of kin has been notified adding that the injured are also at the same hospital.
He appealed to drivers to exercise caution on the roads and observe road regulations.
