105 Zimbabwean students receive India scholarships

105 students have received scholarships to study at an Indian university in a move expected to further boost Zimbabwe's human capital base.
The Indian Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Mr Rungsung Masakui, who spoke during the handover of the scholarships to the students in Harare today, underscored the need for the students to develop their own country after completion of their studies in India.
India has emerged as a giant especially in the field of information communication technology (ICT) and is also investing heavily in the country's small to medium enterprise sector.
Parul University country representative, Mr Cyprian Mudoti said the Indian institution will assist the students build the skills that the country requires as well as allow them to experience new cultures.
Agreements that seek to promote cooperation in research and teaching the development of new areas of research and documentation sharing have also been signed between India and the Harare Institute of Technology, underscoring their commitment to the country's education sector.
