Scores of people converged at Guruve Centre to attend the Zimbabwe Republic Policed (ZRP) client charter re-launch program today.
Various stakeholders, including the judicial services, farmers and residents were in attendance.
Addressing the gathering, the guest of honour Superintendent Tonderai Chiyangwa bemoaned corruption and urged people to stop corruption saying it is a two way problem.
"As police we do not encourage corruption you should stop corruption at all cost. Our officers do not indulge into corruption alone but with some of you who use money to evade arrest," he said.
Matumbu theatre from Mvurwi entertained the audience with both comedy and music.
People who spoke to Bulawayo24.com were delighted about the event.
"We are very happy to mix and chat with the police because generally there is a belief that a police officer is a fearsome person but that is not the case. We are like fish and water, we need each other," revealed Tichaona Nyakapupu from Nyakapupu village.
The event was held under the theme "PRO-POPULO, PRO PATRIA, PRO LEGE" meaning 'We work with Zimbabwean people, in Zimbabwe and following Zimbabwean laws'.
