MDC-T deputy secretary general Tapiwa Mashakada has said people of Zimbabwe must realise that the victory of Zanu PF in 2018 election will mean yet another five years of agony and pain on top of the 38 years people would have suffered under the brutal regime.

"Do Zimbabweans realize what is at stake in the 2018 elections? People have no idea what a Zanu PF victory means. It means 5 more years of pain and agony. Five more years of economic ruin and destruction," he said.

"A condemnation of our youths and future generation to a junk status. Is that what you would want? If the answer is No please do something to make change happen in Zimbabwe. Even those who support Zanu PF should not fear anything. The country will.move on and the economy will grow and cater for everybody. We seek to rebuild the economy and create jobs for our youths."

"We are going to reboot the comatose economy. We must all.believe that peaceful change is possible without a single shot."

He said the army and police are there to defend the people and the country not to defend a political party.

"Once the people have elected a President, that's it. No one can stand in his way to State House. That is the mindset Zimbabweans must have. Fear does not help. The truth shall prevail," he said.
