Wicknell's car clamped over $2 parking fee

BUSINESSMAN Wicknell Chivayo has spoken out over the picture of his Mercedes Benz claimped in the city centre.
Sir Wicknell, as Chivayo is often referred to, said there was nothing surprising about the incident.
He mocked people's reaction to his car getting clamped and sent this reporter a picture of wads of $100 and $50 notes which he captioned, "Ndashaya two dollars (to pay for parking) but that's what I found at home."
He said it is only the 'broke' people who are after his day to day life, envying to be where he is as a millionaire.
"I'm really flabbergasted, is this story really newsworthy??? Cars get clamped every day in town and there's nothing surprising about that.
"This life of being a millionaire is great my brother, every broke person wakes up to see how you are living your day to day life with the hope that you are down to their level.
"I know their hearts bleed for me and they can't wait to get to my level," he said.
The picture has gone viral on social media with several theories being formulated with some mocking Chivayo's parking tendencies suggesting that he might have been clamped for improper parking with pictures of the same car improperly parked in a parking lot circulating.
Chivayo wrote the following message on his facebook wall:
Take a white paper and put a small dot on the corner and ask people what they see, they will tell you they see a black dot and not the whole white sheet. Poverty is not the lack of money , but the lack of ideas and the will power to sacrifice hard work. Zimbabwe seems to have run out of news , I was actually very surprised when this picture went viral world wide yesterday afternoon. It's actually very funny that journalists can make a story out of such a simple picture. I had to switch my phone off avoiding calls from reporters all over the world asking me to comment....Was this story really news worthy ??? Cars get clamped every day in town and there's absolutely nothing surprising about that. This life of being a millionaire is very interesting because every hopeless broke person wakes up to try and see and analyze how you are living your day to day life with the hope that you are down to their level. I know their hearts bleed for me and you can't wait to get to my level. The absurd conclusion was obviously that my car was clamped because i failed to pay two dollars. Let's put it this way that assumption was indeed very correct but at least be reasonable enough to give me credit for the three hundred thousand dollars i had to buy the car and not the two dollars I supposedly don't have....If Zimbabweans could spread love as quickly as we spread hate and negativity , WHAT AN AMAZING COUNTRY WE WOULD LIVE IN.....
