Mugabe calls out tribalists during rally
01 Jul 2017 at 15:04hrs | Views
Following his speech during the Interface Youth rally Masvingo president Mugabe had nothing but solemn words for the tribalistic divisions within the party and within the nation.
The president expressed his disappointment at the marginalisation which has been going on in the party structures and within the country.
"Some of you say I am Ndebele, I am Karanga, I am Manyika and then you divide yourselves thus sabotaging our ideologies," he said. He stressed that it was the wrong way to go about things. He urged that everyone should unite despite their differences.
He stressed that during his time with celebrated icons like the late Dr. Simon Muzenda there was nothing of that sort. They just united under a common purpose that is why they conquered. He asked how people expected to be successful if they were sowing divisions among themselves.
More to follow on the currently ongoing youth rally.
