Cop arrested after failing to pay maintenance

A 33-Year-Old Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) officer stationed at Kanyemba was arrested yesterday for allegedly failing to pay maintenance thereby violating Maintenance Act Chapter 5:09.
Sources close to investigations allege that Rangarirai Chikwadze had defaulted in paying his maintenance in Rusape and a warrant of arrest was issued on him resulting in him being arrested clad in his uniform.
"The cop is currently in police custody clad in his uniform waiting to be taken to Rusape where the warrant of arrest was issued.
"The complaint is reported to be in Cape town and the amount owed is not stated on the papers," revealed the source.
