'Manna' at accident scene

DOMBOSHAVA residents took turns to loot groceries of injured passengers at an accident scene last Friday.
Fourteen passengers including the driver and bus conductor were rushed to Makumbi Hospital after they got injured when a Toyota Hiace (registration number ADZ 1664) belonging to one Tigere of Budiriro 5B veered off the road and overturned along Domboshava Road near the Showgrounds.
Men were seen feasting on bananas and oranges while some collected part of the remains of the vehicle after the injured were taken to hospital.
"Hapana afirapano ngatidyei mabanana aya nemaoranges iyo nyama mdara tora unobikira vana hazvityise izvi. Pamota hapana chichabuda yaparara kunyangwe nemavhiri aparara," one was heard saying as he took the loot.
An elderly man was given a 5kg package of meat and vegetables and left the scene happy for his day's meal.
Most of the passengers, believed to be vegetable vendors, were going to Hatcliffe market.
