An estimated 120 tonnes of maize has reportedly been burnt at Burnbank Farm near Mubaira.
The incident was a result of a veld fire, according to farm owner Alderman Audrey Hativagone.
She told reporter that the burnt maize was heaped, and was awaiting shelling.
The maize was harvested from a 40-hectare piece of land.
Hativagone said she is yet to assess the amount of maize burnt in the fields but confirmed the fields were also affected.
