An Ordinary Session of the Zanu-PF politburo is meeting at the party headquarters in Harare this Wednesday.

The meeting comes hot on the heels of a resounding victory of the ruling party in the recent Chiwundura constituency by-election which was won by Zanu-PF candidate Brown Ndlovu.

Ndlovu garnered 9426 votes ahead of Takudzwa Guzete of the NCA who got a paltry 445 votes.

The meeting is also taking place when the axe is hanging over National Political Commissar Saviour Kasukuwere's head following demonstrations for his removal on allegations of working to remove the President and imposition of certain individuals in some party positions.

At the last politburo meeting, a report compiled by a probe committee led by Speaker of the National Assembly Jacob Mudenda to look into the allegations leveled against Kasukuwere was discussed extensively.

A decision was then made that the presidium comes up with the verdict.

Expectations are high that the pronouncement will be made on Kasukuwere's fate.

The politburo is also expected to confirm Ezra Chadzamira as Masvingo provincial chairman, following is electoral victory.
