Zanu PF forces villagers to attend meeting

Zanu PF activists in Masvingo area are reported to have forced villagers to attend party meeting at the Chiguhune business centre.
Heal Zimbabwe Trust reported that village head Rungano Chawira who was in the company of Maradze Gwatidzo a Zanu PF youth forced community members to attend a Zanu PF meeting at Chiguhune Business centre in Gutu ward 2.
"This took place on the 29th of June 2017. Village head Chawira and Gwatidzo threatened community members that all who defy the order and fail to attend the
meeting will be "dealt with" towards the elections," said the trust.
In Masvingo-Mwenezi East Ward 6- Intimidation Zanu PF supporters, Walter Hlongwane and George Hlongwani allegedly threatened to beat up all village heads who refuse to campaign for Zanu PF in the upcoming election.
"This took place at Chikwalakwala business centre in ward 6 on the 2nd of July 2017 when the two gatecrushed a traditional leaders' meeting," said the trust.
