A disgruntled Stoneridge man has approached the Harare civil magistrates' court after his abusive former wife attacked him with a pot.
Charles Gurende also revealed that his former wife, Lydia Tapera left their matrimonial home and she is now staying with her new boyfriend in the same neighbourhood.
"Your Worship, she left our matrimonial house, she is now staying with her new boyfriend in the same neighbourhood and I am the one who is currently staying with our five children.
"Recently, she came to my house and assaulted me using a pot until it was damaged.
"One of our children went to visit her where she is currently staying with her new boyfriend and they chased her away," he said.
In response, Tapera said:
"I was defending myself that is why I attacked him using a pot and concerning the child he is saying we chased away, she left without our consent."
Presiding magistrate, Amanda Muridzo granted the protection order and advised both parties not to engage in violence.
