A POLYGAMOUS relationship in Stoneridge has turned sour after the first wife successfully evicted the second wife.
Valentine Kagande also accused the woman only identified as Rachel of disturbing her peace at her matrimonial home.
It has emerged that Rachel moved in with Tinashe Vambi at their three-roomed cottage in Stoneridge on July 2, which did not go down well with Kagande who approached the civil court to apply for an eviction order.
"Your worship, it is my husband who instructed me to stay there so I cannot vacate even though they built it together with Kagande.
"I have nowhere to go and I have no money to pay for rentals," Rachel said in her defence.
Rachel told the court that it is up to her husband to decide whether she continues staying there or she vacates.
Kagande was also applying for a peace order saying she had brought misery at their home.
"They did not consult me over the move, on July 2, she came with her property indicating that our husband had instructed her to come and stay at our matrimonial home," said Kagande.
She added:
"Since then, our husband has not been buying food for me but for Rachel and he prefers to stay in her room than mine.
"I want her to vacate my house and I don't want her to insult me anymore."
Presiding magistrate, Amanda Muridzo granted the peace order in Kagande's favour and ordered Rachel to vacate the house on or before August 31.
