Woman kills 2 children, hands self to police

A Norton woman murdered her two children last Saturday after her mother reportedly called her a prostitute.
Ruponeso Songore, 24, is said to have been angered when her mother Kudakwashe Songore, 47, labelled her a prostitute because the children were by different fathers.
Moments after clashing with her mother, Ruponeso took the children, Nokutenda Ncube, 3, and Areyela Songore, 1, to a nearby bush in Damofalls in Norton where she reportedly strangled them.
She then handed herself to the police.
"She had a misunderstanding with her mother that day and the mother is said to have labelled her a prostitute who had children sired by different fathers.
"She strangled the children with her hands in a bushy area where the bodies were found.
"After realizing that her daughters were dead she went to the police station in Katanga and reported the issue and told the police officers where she had left the bodies of the deceased," revealed the source
The bodies of the deceased were taken to Norton General Hospital.
