A political commentator Knowledge Dube has lamented that the Movement for Democratic Change led by Morgan Tsvangirai wants to be viewed as the only strongest party in the country, which then dampen the spirit of coalitions being planned ahead of the 2018 election
He said the opposition parties mainly the MDC Tsvangirai has said a lot of negative things about them.
"MDC-T does not want competition they want to be viewed as the only opposition party, which is wrong, everyone must contest in any way they think suits them and their ideology.
"Independent candidates at times are the best governors reason being that they owe loyalty to those who voted them into office unlike those belonging to political parties whose first point of loyalty is the political party masters and then people come second to the party," he said.
Dube also said: "For example Bulawayo has been voting for MDC but and there is nothing to show for it the city is now a ghost town and the MDC is doing nothing about it but busy campaigning to be voted back into office.
"My question to MDC MPs is pertaining to Bulawayo is similar to the question i have for President Robert Mugabe.
"You want to be voted back into office to do what? Why didn't you do what you wish to do when elected whilst you were in office?"
