Jonathan Moyo wants graduates to be absorbed by DISHes

Graduates who leave universities and colleges will soon be absorbed at district innovation start-up hubs (DISH) as government seeks to change the country's mindset from a knowledge-based to an industrial-based society.
This came out at the Hillside Teachers' College graduation ceremony held at the college in Bulawayo today.
Officiating at the ceremony, the Minister of Higher and Tertiary Education, Science and Technology Development Professor Jonathan Moyo said the start-up hubs will be placed in the country's 65 districts and will offer innovation opportunities to the country's graduates while bringing about rapid economic growth.
Speaking at the same occasion, University of Zimbabwe Vice Chancellor Professor Levi Nyagura urged graduands to pursue an academic path that is relevant to what they are doing for continuity.
The graduation ceremony saw 588 graduates walking away with diploma in education certificates and was running under the theme: ‘Research As A Panacea For Excellence In Teacher Education'.
