Mugabe repossesses idle land

Mugabe's government has withdrawn offer letters for resettled farmers whose land is lying idle, Lands and Rural Resettlement minister Douglas Mombeshora said.

This year alone, authorities issued dozens of notices in the Gazette, withdrawing offer letters, with 38 farms repossessed in June.

Mombeshora could not be drawn to give figures on how much land had been repossessed.
