MDC-T deputy national youth chairperson, Steward Shakespeare Mukoyi, has been identified as the culprit who beat up Morgan Tsvangirai's Deputy Thokozani Khupe.
Mukoyi was in March 2017 acquitted by Harare magistrate Nomsa Sabarauta on charges of inciting public violence after the magistrate said police had unlawfully arrested him.
In an interview on ZiFM Stereo, MDC-T secretary general Douglas Mwonzora confirmed that party Vice President Thokozani Khupe's attackers are from the party.
Professor Jonathan Moyo identified the thug as Shakespear Mukoyi. He wrote, "Shakespear Mukoyi an MDC-T youth leader, was in the group that violently attacked Thokozani Khupe, Abednico Bhebhe, Lovermore Moyo & others!"
