Typhoid outbreak in Harare sanctions linked - Zanu-PF

Zanu PF Secretary for Information and Publicity for Harare Province, Claudius Mutero, says the typhoid outbreak in the city is a result of illegal sanctions imposed on the country at the invitation of the MDC-T party.
Mutero said the sanctions which sought to give the MDC an edge over Zanu PF during the 2008 harmonised elections have now extended to other sectors.
Mutero said they also suspect biological warfare by imperialists who are using willing nationals worldwide as conduits.
He however said the sanctions-induced typhoid does not discriminate whether one is MDC-T or Zanu PF as it attacks all people irrespective of their sex, ethnic or religious background.
Mutero also called on councilors to unite and call for the removal of the illegal sanctions.
Meanwhile, the Zimbabwe National Liberation War Veterans Association has called on the Minister of Local Government, Rural and Urban Development, Ignatius Chombo to dismiss the mayor and his team for failing to deliver quality service to Harare residents.
