Political mood hotting up ahead of 2018 election

A political analyst Vince Musewe has said the political mood is hotting up ahead of the 2018 elections in which some of the politicians whom he believed were good have changed their behaviour as they jostle for positions.
Zimbabwe will be having elections next year.
"This is my first experience within local politics before elections. It is shocking how suddenly the mood changes and those you counted among good and honorable colleagues change tact as they scheme and plot to position themselves. My dear friend Jacob Mafume warned me that we are now getting into the hard hat area. He is correct," he said.
"I really wonder if after all the scheming and back stabbing it will be worth it. Clearly our politics defies all logic and those who "win" surely have all the unseen emotional scars buried deep down in their psyche. Do they ever recover? It can indeed become brutal and even violent as we have seen in the past. It's no easy road and I have been told some gawry details of 2008."
He said the discord around coalitions and evident tribal and or regional issues rearing their ugly heads are evidence that things have not really changed. It is all about positioning, reframing and deceit if necessary.
"Of course the master of all this is Zanu pf but it appears some in opposition circles have learnt it well. Will it ever change and if so how?" he said.
