Habitual hooker to perform 105 hours of unpaid labour

A HABITUAL lady of the night will perform 105 hours of unpaid labour after she was caught soliciting for male clients in the Harare Avenues area. It was proved that Nyasha Pasi was once convicted for the same offence and this time her sentence was commuted to unpaid work.

Her partner in crime or is it 'business,' Audrey Ncube was fined US$80 for the same offence.

The two pleaded guilty to allegations of soliciting for the purposes of prostitution when they appeared before Harare magistrate Donald Ndirowei.

The court heard that on January 22 around 10pm, the police were carrying out preventive patrol in town and the avenues area when they encountered the two and their accomplices standing along the road putting on tight clothes, in a bid to lure men for sexual activities.

Prosecutor Crispen Mavengano told the court that upon being confronted by the police, the duo and their accomplices failed to justify their presence on the road during the night.

The court heard that they all admitted that they were soliciting for clients for the purposes of prostitution.

Pasi was slapped with six months imprisonment before three months were set aside for five years on condition of good behaviour.

The remaining three months were suspended on condition she performs 105 of community service.

Ncube was ordered to pay US$80 or spend two months in prison.
