A Harare woman appeared in court seeking for a peace order against her ex-boyfriend.

Nyarai Dhliwayo told the court that her ex-boyfriend Chengetai Manyande is disturbing her peace by harassing her and her new boyfriend.

"My Worship, this man is my ex-boyfriend.

"We separated after he proposed love to my friend when I had gone to my rural home.

"After that incident, I told him that I no longer loved him but he refused to listen.

"When he found out that l was in love with someone else, he started harassing me at my place of residence.

"I told him that I no longer love him but arikuramba kurambwa.

"What should l do? I need peace with my new boyfriend. I no longer love Chenge.

In response Manyande denied all the allegations.

"She is lying Your Worship, I am not her ex-boyfriend but her current.

"We are in a relationship almost for five years now and I am the one who was paying her rent all along

"I even took care of her mother's hospital bills when she was in the hospital.

"I didn't harass her, these are all lies Your Worship.

"The issue is that I caught her with another man in her house which I was paying rentals for.

"I then asked her why was she doing that, haangambondirambe after all the money that l had spent on her.

"I can't afford to lose her to another man considering all that l did for her."

Presiding magistrate Amanda Muridzo granted the peace order in favour of Dhliwayo.
