Man arrested for kidnapping wife's lover

A 33-YEAR-OLD man has been nabbed for allegedly kidnapping a Mufakose man accusing him of having an extra marital affair with his wife.
Innocent Maendesa was not asked to plead when he appeared before Harare magistrate Josephine Sande charged with kidnapping and unlawful detention.
He was advised to apply for bail at the High Court and the matter was remanded to September 12 for trial.
Allegations are that Maendesa found out that his wife, Rutendo Nyambo was having an extra marital affair with Silas Chinaa since 2007.
On July 1, Maendesa reportedly confronted and had an altercation with Silas over the issue.
After the argument, Maendesa reportedly sent a message to Silas which read "Hie, days are numbered."
Silas was reportedly missing from July 1 after he had gone to park his car at Mucherechesi Car Park in Mufakose.
His car was reportedly found unlocked in the car park and his mobile phone in the front driver's panel.
Investigations were done leading to Maendesa's arrest.
