Abusive hubby in court

A CITY woman complained in court that her husband labels her a shallow minded person.
Wendy Mhishi was seeking for a protection order against Brian Mhishi when she told the Harare civil court that she was being insulted and assaulted in front of children.
She told the court that Brian has a pending case of assault at the police station.
She said:
"This man has been abusing me for a long time, to an extent that recently he assaulted me when I had just got home from an operation of our child who is now six months.
"He does not have respect for me, he shouts at me in front of the children calling me a shallow minded person.
"At one point he chased me away from our matrimonial home.
"I have been suffering for the past 10 years because of this man."
However, Brian denied ever assaulting or insulting Wendy Indicating that she is the one who starts the fights that is when he retaliates.
"I do not insult her she is the one who starts the fights.
"I do not have any problems if she is granted the protection order.
"She is just lying to this court," he said.
Presiding magistrate Marehwanazvo Gofa granted Wendy the protection order she sought.
