A LOCAL pastor was last week brought before the court for allegedly interfering with a State witness and setting his dogs on her over a residential stand dispute.
Isaac Masuka, who leads the Masuka Christian church, pleaded not guilty to the charges when he appeared before Harare magistrate Eric Kache who remanded him out of custody on $50 bail.
Masuka was brought to court by Joyline Munduna who claimed that she had been threatened and ordered not to testify against the accused, an order she denied.
The accused went further and set his dogs on the complainant.
When Munduna took the witness stand, she told the court she was no longer at peace because of the accused's actions.
"The accused came to my place of residence and threatened me ordering me not to testify against him over the issue that has brought us to court today. He further set his dogs on me," said Munduna.
In cross-examination, Masuka's lawyer Ashley Mugiya asked the complainant if the dogs bit her, to which Munduna said they did not.
The matter was rolled over to September 29 for continuation.
Shambadzeni Fungura represented the State.
