Former Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe (RBZ) Chief Advisor, Dr Munyaradzi Kereke says he left the central bank voluntarily and there is no bad blood between him and the Governor, Dr Gideon Gono.

Dr Kereke, who left the central bank last week after 12 years of service, dismissed the rumour that he was fired because of some differences with Dr Gono, saying there is no bad blood between them.

Asked whether he has been reassigned to other duties, Dr Kereke said he is currently concentrating on his farm activities, but could not deny or confirm his chances of bouncing back at the central bank.

Commenting on the state of the country's financial sector, Dr Kereke challenged the remaining staff at the central bank to stand guard and institute policies that ensure that the banking sector is kept afloat.
