AN UNIDENTIFIED COUPLE caused a stir at the Harare magistrates' court last Thursday after the lady's dressing was deemed improper.

The lady was dressed in a skimpy faded blue jean skirt, black winter boots, fish net stockings and a red and white spaghetti top as she made her grand entrance at the court, accompanied by her white partner.

She however could not gain entry into the court building where she and her partner were reportedly going to enquire about getting a marriage licence.

The lady had to take the WALK OF SHAME ALONE as she was denied entrance while her partner was allowed into the court.

A security detail at Rotten Row told H-Metro that they had to turn away the lady as her dressing was improper.

"First of all, jeans are not allowed when coming to court, but they are times we just let people enter because some will be witnesses or accused persons in a case.

"In this case, we could not let that woman enter this building wearing such kind of clothes. It was just improper and she was told.

"Looking at what she was wearing; one would be forgiven if they were to think that she was going to a party and not for formal court business.

"We only let the partner enter because his dressing was proper," revealed security personnel who preferred anonymity.

As the lady waited for her partner to come back, she drew curious glances from those who had come to court.

Photojournalists who had come to cover the ongoing Mujuru inquest had to temporarily divert their lenses towards the lady who was not even fazed with the attention.

Some elderly ladies could be heard saying "asikana kupfekawo here uku? Vana vedu ava!" (This dressing leaves a lot to be desired).

When her partner finally came back, the two could not let go of each other, as they caressed in front of the watching crowd.

When the couple seemed to have finally decided that the crowd had seen enough, they left the court but many were against their conduct in public, saying that it was unAfrican.
