The 2018 presidential aspirant Nkosana Moyo has said he see no reason why the government is being intolerant to genuine call by Pastor van Mawarire who has done nothing wrong but is genuinely calling the government to account.

"I think it's tragic for us as a nation that Evan Mawarire has been arrested again," he said.

"Some of you may recall when the president made the comment about him being not one of us previously, I wrote him an open letter indicating that it was unhealthy for this nation to be so intolerant of a population which appeals to its own government that things are not working for us - please do something about it! That's all Mawarire has ever done."

Moyo said Mawarire advocates for no violence but he wants us to be able to talk to our government and engage with them, and get them to address the economic challenges that the population is facing.

He said there is no where in Mawarire's actions that show him as a threat to the state but instead must be commended for enabling the government to realise its failures and adjust them when there is time and arresting him for that is dangerous and is a security threat.
