Jonathan Moyo's PA was not arrested

IN yesterday's issue from Chronicle we published a story to the effect that Chipo Mukabeta, the personal assistant to the Minister of Higher and Tertiary Education, Science and Technology Development Professor Jonathan Moyo had been arrested by officials from the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission on Tuesday.
The story alleged that her arrest was over allegations levelled against the minister in relation to the Zimbabwe Manpower Development fund (Zimdef) It further stated that Deputy Minister Godfrey Gandawa and Zimdef finance director, Mr Nicholas Mapute are on remand over the same allegations.
It has come to our attention that Ms Mukabeta was not arrested as alleged and that Dr Gandawa and Mr Mapute were removed from remand in January. We sincerely apologise to Ms Mukabeta, Dr Gandawa and Mr Mapute for any inconvenience our story might have cause.
