A Mvurwi couple has been convicted of disorderly conduct after they fought with their former employee who had approached them demanding her $80 salary.
Tendai Majuru (34) and Mauldy Mukati (34) were fined $50 each by Guruve magistrate Artwel Sanyatwe on Thursday (today).
Prosecuting, Jane Mwanandimai told the court that on 30 August 2017 Majuru and Mukati reportedly assaulted Elina Banda who had come with her husband Kudakwashe Chinese to collect her dues.
An altercation ensued, and Banda grabbed a 50kg bag of fertilizer which angered the couple resulting in a scuffle.
Banda is said to have bite Mukati's finger who cried for help.
Surprisingly when Banda fought with her employee, her husband was busy filming the episode instead of restraining them.
The magistrate dismissed assault charge and sentenced the couple to disorderly after a full trial.
The couple is expected to pay the fine by 12 October or risk going to jail for 15 days each if they fail to pay.
