Mugabe caps 418 HIT graduates

President Robert Mugabe is conferring degrees to 418 graduands in the 2017 graduation ceremony at the Harare Institute of Technology (HIT) in Belvedere, Harare.
This year's graduation figure has seen an increase of 20 percent from the 347 graduands last year while the number of female graduands also increased by 2 percent to 33 percent.
HIT focuses much attention on student outcomes and self employability in its B-Tech Honours undergraduate degree programmes that cover engineering and technology programmes under the schools of industrial sciences and technology and engineering.
This is the 8th graduation ceremony since the HIT was elevated to university status.
HIT comprises 4 faculties namely Engineering and Technology, Industrial Science and Technology, Information Science and Technology, and Business Management Science.
