Movement for Democratic Change led by Welshman Ncube has laughed off a meeting of Zimbabwe principals on Wednesday describing it as a huge joke saying Deputy Prime Minister Arthur Mutambara is not a principal.
Priscilla Misihairabwi-Mushonga said there was no logic in taking outcome of the meeting seriously.
"That so-called gathering of principals on Wednesday is just another joke which people should not take serious. It is clear that Mutambara is not a principal. Which party does he lead," asked Misihairabwi-Mushonga who is also Regional Integration and International Co-operation Minister.
On Wednesday President Robert Mugabe, Premier Morgan Tsvangirai and Mutambara held a meeting which was said to be for principals in the inclusive government.
On the table was among other issues to do with the contact of Police Commissioner-General Augustine Chihuri.
However, Misihairabwi-Mushonga said his party president Welshman Ncube is the rightful principal who should have attended the meeting.
"As a party we are not taking what was discussed by the trio seriously. Ncube should be the one attending the principals meeting as a equal also," she added.
Political commentator Agrippa Nxumalo said the the fact that Mutambara attended a press briefing of the principals meeting at Tsvangirai's residency shows that Tsvangirai is protecting Mutambara and are not political rivals.
"What does it mean political for Mutambara who is Tsvangirai's rival to attend a press conference at the premiers house, Strathaven? It only confirms that he (Mutambara) is enjoying the protection of Tsvangirai and Mugabe, the same issue that Ncube has been saying," said Nxumalo.
Ncube and Mutambara are embroiled in a legal battle of the control of MDC.
Ncube was elected MDC president in January 2011 taking over from Mutambara who later went to court claiming that the congress was illegal.
On the other hand Ncube was not Mutambara dethroned as Deputy Premier and be installed.
